We stayed at this facility on February 16th after browsing through several other facilities. I would like to give 10 points out of 10. It excelled in all areas in comparison to other facilities in the area. One can appreciate the facility only after comparing with other facilities. The strongest point is the honesty. Other facilities were out right cheat. Chokhi Dhani’s strongest appeal is its honesty. Of course, there are areas they can improve upon. Timings for cultural programs overlap with the dinner time making it difficult for guests to enjoy both. They should change timings in such a way that guests can enjoy such a way that both- the dinner and cultural programs. Regardless, by far it is the best facility in the area. Please choose this facility and avoid being scammed by the other operators.

We had been to chokidhani desert camp – Jaisalmer in December 2023. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Property is well maintained, good ambience and tents are fully equipped for your comfort. Best part is their service with smile. From front desk to restaurant to room service each and everyone is prompt to serve you at their best. Food was quite delicious and they serve in typical Rajasthan’s style . Cultural program was enjoyable and we participated too. Desert safari was arranged by resort which was memorable as we had selected the time of sunset.

The camp is probably selling on its name but it doesn't live to it's expectations. Have recently returned from Jaiselmer trip and I had a night stay at this camp. Good Points- 1. It's on road. You do not have to go in the interiors. 2. Huge space, and beautiful from the outlook per se 3. Camp staff are good and responsive, whether they do something or not that's a separate story. Points where they loose- 1. Cleanliness in the camps....you will notice there's absolutely no cleaning or dusting. You will find sand all over the place - Including your bed. There's no escape. Before check-in they probably do not even care to clean the place. 2. Food is no where near to what you would have had in Jaipur (if you have), or even their own Hotel in Jaiselmer. I would rate the taste of the food as AVERAGE. 3. Camps are cold. So if you thinking to go in Late December, Jan or February, then do ask for a heater. 4. Now comes the camel ride , thar Safari etc- Reality is, it's a farce. For Camel ride, they will max take you for 1 KM, and then the the camer owner will say, if you want to go further to a better point, then she'll out more money which could be anything let's say Rs1500. And even that safari guy will take you to the point where other activities are held, and there you will be asked to shell more money for those activities. Let me know if you need more information. Thanks

We chose to stay at desert camp instead of Jaisalmer city. It is located in Sam sand dunes 35 kms away from City. It's worth every penny. Just relax in this resort which is decked up as village. Be it warm welcome, mouth watering dishes and cultural programme, You will definitely love it. Staff are very courteous and helpful. Sure an Oasis in THAR.
